Visift for 1st cycle of elementary school

A place to learn

Pointe-du-Buisson offers an educational program for the first cycle of elementary school, designed to broaden the spatial and temporal frame of reference. It helps students acquire a basic vocabulary relating to space, time and local social realities. The relationship between certain actions and their repercussions on a group or a territory are examined through various activities that guide students as they discover the Pointe-du-Buisson site.

These various activities enable students to explore a new natural space, as well as an unusual environment: that of an archaeological museum. By examining similarities and differences, the temporal aspect is observed, enabling students to situate themselves in relation to Pointe-du-Buisson's past. In addition, the activities allow the students to examine the differences between the society of yesteryear and their own.
